About Eton Farm

Developing the confidence and skills to become lifelong learners

At Eton Farm Primary School, we recognise that every child is an individual, with their own strengths, interests and learning needs. Our smaller classes allow us to know our students well and provide a supportive environment where children can develop confidence, independence and a genuine love of learning.

We use a variety of teaching approaches to engage students in meaningful learning. Practical experiences, collaboration, creativity and hands-on learning are integrated throughout our program, helping children build the knowledge and skills they need to become confident, capable lifelong learners.

Music, Art, Noongar Language and learning in the outdoors are important parts of life at Eton Farm.

Our Music Education program is strongly influenced by Orff Schulwerk, an approach developed from the work of composer Carl Orff. Through movement, speech, singing, rhythm and playing instruments, children learn music in an active and creative way. The approach also has strong connections with oral language and early literacy development.

Our Visual Arts program encourages creativity, exploration and self-expression through a variety of materials and experiences.

Our farm setting is an important part of who we are. Our outdoor learning environment provides opportunities for structured and unstructured play, exploration and learning in nature. Children interact with and care for animals, enjoy the many different spaces around the farm and develop an appreciation for their natural environment.

We are proud to be a WasteSorted School and a SunSmart School. Students are actively involved in reducing waste, recycling and developing sustainable practices, while our SunSmart practices help children develop lifelong habits that support their health and wellbeing. Caring for ourselves, each other and our environment is an important part of everyday life at Eton Farm.

Our annual school camps are another special part of the Eton Farm experience. Camps provide children with opportunities to build independence, resilience and confidence, strengthen friendships and experience learning beyond the classroom. Most importantly, they are a wonderful opportunity for children to have fun, try new things and create lasting memories with their friends.
